Main INEP SAHT RAS activity target are fundamental and applied scientific investigations in following basic directions:
Research of thermal and electrophysical high-temperature processes fundamental problems for a wide range of substances and parametres;
Research of the distributed and local power systems operation and working out of recommendations on their development;
Research on fundamental and applied problems of new power sources (including gas-turbine technologies) and power technological installations creation to increase their technical and economic and ecological indicators;
Research in electrochemistry and electrochemical power systems, including hydrogen and alumohydogen energy;
Research of methods and application techniques in the field of energy- and resource-saving technologies for various areas of economy (the industry, transport, agriculture);
Applied research in the field of low-temperatures plasma techniques applications for power engineering.
