| Technology for argillaceous sands and hydromixture solid components disintegration |
Brief descriptionR&D period: years 2007–2012. Budget financing and extra-budgetary resources attraction. The technology comprises processes of mechanical and ultrasound action directed on watered and dry high-plastic sands of auriferous placers that have over 30 % content of particles less then 0,005 µm in diameter. Preferential sound emission frequency and its initial intensity parameters are established that ensure disintegration of highly argillaceous sands, including those, which have gold particles not exceeding 0,5 mm contents as high as 100 %. ![]() Placer development scheme comprising ultrasound, mechanical installations, hydrotransport system, and two concentrators The technology has undergone laboratory tests FEB RAS Mining Institute. Competitive advantagesMarketing studies were conducted. Presently all applied technologies and complexes are destined for sands having clay contents not exceeding 25 %, whereas losses of gold particles bigger than 1 mm amount to 50 % and more; losses of particles smaller than 0,5 mm reach as high as 100 %. We created a technology capable to disintegrate auriferous highly argillaceous sands, composed from 30 to 100 % of sand particles smaller than 0,005 mm and having 50 to 100 % contents of substantially tiny gold with particles smaller than 2 µm. Created technology profitability is 56,8 %, breakeven point is 3 years, pure profit is 32,4 million rubles, ecologic safety is 2,5 odd times higher than that of reagent-based. Marketable output raises by 124,74 million rubles, pure profit by 32,16 million rubles with respect to PGSh-50. Scientific significanceDepending on the obtained values of sands averaged equilibrium density and compressibility, as well as of hydromixtures water volumetric content and compressibility, the initial sound emission parameters were determined that ensure disintegration of sands and hydromixtures, which are characterized by above normal contents of gold with particles smaller than 0,5 mm. The scientific background level is academic. There is a possibility to further enhance the product and secure its additional applications. “Know-how” is present and rights for it may be transferred. Examples of practical applicationThe technology can be used in gold mining and processing industries. The end product is gold bearing concentrate. The technology has undergone laboratory testing. Production costs are 89,99 million rubles, capital investments are 6,89 million rubles. The Institute has brought the project to use test. There is need for additional scientific research to bring the project to industrial application. Actual or potential buyers of technologies or licenses are gold mining and processing enterprises in the Russian Far Eastern region. Sales market geographyMain market segments are enterprises of the Russian Siberian and Far Eastern regions. Sales market sizeIs determined by demands for auriferous placer raw materials processing. At present 70 natural placer deposits are found out up to 11 km long and having high contents of clays and tiny gold. Technogene raw materials resources by their volume are several dozen times greater than that of natural ones. Given the equipment cost 6,89 million rubles per unit, sales market size for 70 objects will amount to 482,3 million rubles. Sales promotion periodImplementation commencing date is year 2012.
