Brief description

New technology is unique and doesn't have an analogue. For the first time on the base of experimental systemic researches we revealed peculiarities of forming of quality low nicotine varieties of tobacco possessing biological ability for accumulate nicotine by 1,5-3,0 times less than traditional during post-harvesting processing depending on biological, meteorological and technological factors. Complex estimation consumers' characteristics of obtained raw materials (technological, toxic, smoking properties, chemical compound, testing estimation) was conducted. For the first time a new index is proposed – coefficient of co-ordination of yellow discoloration and moisture return from leaves during yellowing (Kcoord.), characterizing estimation of power-capacity of drying tobacco's technology. With regard for indices of Kcoord. for each variety of tobacco the rational technologies of harvesting and drying are elaborated, they permit to reduce expenditure of technical heat and electrical energy by 40 %. Optimum composite mixtures with using of low nicotine raw materials were elaborated for manufacture of cigarettes with permissible content of tar and nicotine in smoke.

We proposed new unique express methods of determination of chlorophyll and nicotine content in fresh leaves of tobacco for efficient technological control; absolutely new methods of prognostication of potential power-capacity of drying, technologies of economy resources of harvesting and drying low nicotine varieties of tobacco; original formula of composite mixtures (“blends”) with using low nicotine varieties of tobacco Ostrolist and Trapezond for manufacture of cigarettes heighersafety.

Expected economical effect is 2.25 millions of rubles/10 milliards pieces of cigarettes. Scientific elaboration is protected by 8 patents for invention:

Elaboration needs to be driven to industrial level, it is possible to sale licences, patents, carrying out of consultations, participation in distribution of profit is agreed by contract.

Competitive advantages

Marketing researches are conducted independently by subdivisions of institute. The great interest of producers and consumers was revealed to smoking products with minimal toxicity of tobacco smoke (low contents of tar and nicotine).

Use in production of perspective low nicotine varieties of tobacco type Ostrolist and Trapezond, new elaborated technologies and recommendations, rational technologies of drying, optimum quantity of tobacco raw materials in blends for production of cigarettes will permit to reduce power imputs by 40 % and produce tobacco products with high safety, will promote the reduction production costs and rise its competitiveness.

Scientific significance

New fulfilled systemic researches permitted to propose elaboration for production smoking products with high safety of smoke from tobacco raw materials received during cultivation, harvesting and post-harvesting treatment of new low nicotine varieties of tobacco, it is natural method of reducing of tobacco products', toxicity. Existent level of scientific base permit to provide high competitiveness of new elaborated methods, technologies and recommendations.

Cost and period of commercial study. Degree of preparation to transference in industry. There is the professional manager (the group of managers). Existence of actual or potential buyers, of technologies or licences. Results of project are used in farms of agroindustrial tobacco subcomplex APK RF and in the enterprises of tobacco branch.

Planed volume of investment in period of cover of expenditure – 30 millions of rubles, period of cover of expenditure is 1.9 years. Degree of preparation to transference in industry – 90 %. There are highly qualified specialists for conduct consultations and incorporation of proposed elaboration into production.

The proposed project can be used during the realization of national program of social development of agriculture in mountainous and foothills zones of South Federal regions of RF and countries of CIS.
